And a very special shout to Abby Jorde! Abby has been with the speech team since the team began her Freshman year. After four years of dedication, hard work, and leadership, Abby became the very first TGU Speech State Qualifier with her first place finish in Inform. Congratulations, Abby!

The top 8 finishers qualify for the state tournament next week in Fargo. And another congratulations to TGU Granville's Sage Hanson and TGU Towner's Dillon Dragseth for earning Honorable Mention on the North Dakota 2026 Class B Academic All-State Team! 245 seniors were nominated by their school principal and competed for this statewide honor. Student selection was based on grade point averages, ACT or SAT scores, extracurricular activities, community involvement, and leadership qualities. Great work, Sage and Dillon!
