Congratulations to our very own, Mrs. Tonnessen! The “Friend of the Foundation” Award is the highest award recognition given by the North Dakota FFA Foundation. The award is rooted in service and volunteerism to the Foundation and ND FFA Association over many years. Mrs. Tonnessen was the award winner for 2024 and was recognized at the ND State FFA Convention in June with the coveted golden shovel. She has been volunteering with ND FFA since 2007 in a variety of roles and has donated many quilts to be auctioned for college scholarships, SAE grants, etc. Additionally, she volunteers to help at Convention running events, chaperoning trips, supporting agricultural education teachers, and so much more. She served on the Foundation Board of Directors for six years and was an officer for five of those years. Service is about more than just opening up your checkbook, it’s about giving of your time & talents in any way you can!
