TGU Towner Summer Program Weekly Update: June 13-15, 2023 The following schedule is for this weeks Towner Summer Program. If you have any questions, please call or message Cassie Bethke. Tuesday: Cooking Lesson Drop off time: 9:30 Pickup time: 11:30 Wednesday: Fossil lesson Drop off time: 9:30 Pickup time: 11:30 Thursday: Field trip to Margie’s Art Studio Drop off time: 9:30 Pickup time: 12:45 *Kids will need to bring a sack lunch. *We will be painting pottery that the students will be able to take home once they are finished with the Kiln process (approx. 10 days). Please send $10 with your child for one pottery piece of their choice. All kids have the option to paint more than one piece, so if you would like to send more with your child, you may do so!

TGU Towner Backpack Buddies has exciting things happening! Rachel Wald, NDSU Extension Office, with the assistance of Miss Felber and the 21st Century Summer School Program planted the TGU Towner Backpack Buddies garden. The produced was planted by the 3rd and 4th grade students during the school year. The students provided for the plants throughout the school year. The TGU Towner Backpack Buddies Blessing Box is out and stocked with necessities and food pantry items. Please share with families and community members that may need items throughout the summer. Thank you for all of the support to keep this program successful for our TGU community!

🎶🎶🎶 The TGU Granville Music Department would like to thank the Towner Community Club for their GENEROUS $2000 donation. Check out our beautiful new Jupiter clarinet! Thank you, Rachel Wald & Kendra Metcalfe, for teaching the Towner 3rd and 4th graders about planting seeds, transplanting, and gardening! It's been rewarding to watch the progression of our plants grow from the seeds we initially planted in April. We were able to transplant them into larger pots this week.

The TGU Drama Club received a $5000 donation from the Towner Community Club to go toward the stage curtain replacement project! We can't thank them enough for the wonderful donation.

Congratulations to our TGU-Towner Honor Society 2023 Inductees, Seniors, and Officers. Thank-you to our departing seniors for their years of service to their school and community, we are all so proud of you! Welcome to this excellent crew of freshman and all the potential they bring to our organization.

The Dakota Girl Scout's presentation scheduled for this evening at 5:30 at the TGU Towner site has been rescheduled for an August date.

🦁🐻🐯 TGU Towner had a great day at the Roosevelt Park Zoo today! High schoolers and elementary students worked together to complete a scavenger hunt. Tomorrow, 20 winners will be announced for prizes! Thanks for a great day at the zoo!! 🐻🐯🦁
