
Attention TGU Football players/parents: Your coaches are anxiously awaiting the start of a new and exciting football season. Varsity (grades 9-12) will start practice on August 3rd, at 7:00 AM. Junior High (grades 7-8) will start practice on August 10th, at 7:00 AM. Attached is the preseason schedule. Athletes- Please have your physical forms signed by the first day of practice. If this isn't taken care of, you won't be allowed to practice. We will not have a large group meeting, but we will send home information with the athletes the first day of practice.

Both traveled to Perry GA this past week to compete at the National Jr. High School Rodeo.
Bergan and her partner Star placed 27th in pole bending.
Kinley and partner Jewel missed the short go in Barrels. Then Kinley and her partner Tango took home the National Junior High Pole Bending Championship!

These results are unofficial until the results are canvassed at the June 26, 2022, School Board meeting. The Meeting will be held at the TGU Granville School at 7:30 pm.
On June 13, 2023, the TGU School District # 60 held the annual election of the Board of Education. The purpose of this election was to elect a member of the board for a 3-year for an At Large Position.

TGU School District #60 Election Notice
Per NDCC 15.1-09-09 notice is hereby given that on June 13, 2023 the TGU School District will hold its annual election. The purpose of the election is to:
1. Elect one member of the board of education for the TGU School District #60, from the designated geographical area of the TGU School District #60. 3-year term.
Polls will be open from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on June 13, 2023 in each school of the TGU School District.
Voters are required to show identification that includes the individual’s residential address and date of birth per North Dakota Century Code 16.1-5-07. Valid forms of ID are ND driver’s license, ND non-driver’s license, Tribal government issued ID, or Long-term care certificate. If a voter does not have a valid ID with current address, additional documentation is required. For more information, please contact the TGU Business Manager or visit the Secretary of State website.
Anyone desiring to vote by absent voter’s ballot may obtain an application from the School Office or from the Secretary of State website prior to June 12, 2023. Completed application have to be returned to the district office in Towner, ND in order to receive an absentee ballot. Absentee ballots cannot be issued on the day of the election.

*We will be painting pottery that the students will be able to take home once they are finished with the Kiln process (approx. 10 days). Please send $10 with your child for one pottery piece of their choice. All kids have the option to paint more than one piece, so if you would like to send more with your child, you may do so!

TGU Towner Backpack Buddies has exciting things happening!
Rachel Wald, NDSU Extension Office, with the assistance of Miss Felber and the 21st Century Summer School Program planted the TGU Towner Backpack Buddies garden. The produced was planted by the 3rd and 4th grade students during the school year. The students provided for the plants throughout the school year.
The TGU Towner Backpack Buddies Blessing Box is out and stocked with necessities and food pantry items. Please share with families and community members that may need items throughout the summer.
