First grade in Towner has been learning about the ancient Aztecs. One of the things we are learning about is the different crops they farmed. Chia seeds were farmed by the Ancient Aztecs and were used for food, medicine, and oil. Over the next 2 weeks we will be growing our own chia seeds using this llama chia pet!

TGU Towner 8th graders, that were enrolled this semester, in Introduction to Competitive Sports, had a special guest today. Cordell Volson of the Cincinnati Bengals joined our class, via Zoom, to answer questions that the students had. He talked a lot about embracing the process, taking time for yourself, and having a passion for what you are doing, sports/academics/career. Thanks Cordell, for spending time with us.
