Mr. Lee's Report

TGU Towner High School students have had another busy month. Below are a few

of the highlights and some upcoming events:

Student News:

● The Towner Honor Society is sponsoring the Scholastic Book Fair. The Library

will be open from 8:00 - 8:30 and 2:00 - 5:00 pm until Friday, April 11th. The

Towner K-12 students will host their spring music concert on Thursday, May 1,

2025, at 6:30 pm. The elementary students will perform first and the 7-12

students will perform after.

● The Action Team Partnership (ATP) Color Run will be held at TGU Towner on

Tuesday, May 6, 2025.

● TGU Prom was on April 5th. Thank you to the junior students and parents for

all of their work in planning and preparing for the event. Also thank you to the

advisors Mrs. Cook, Mrs. Werle, Mr. Leintz, and Mrs Deatherage for their work

and for guiding the students in their role as advisors.

● The TGU-Towner junior/senior banquet will take place on Monday, May 5th.

● TGU Towner High School had 77 students on the honor roll for the third quarter.

● TGU Towner’s High School Students of the Quarter for the third quarter are

Melissa Kuhnhenn, Cooper Jorde, and Isabella Lazier.

● TGU Towner students competed in Bottineau for the Acalympics competition.

The competition was full of worthy students and TGU Towner competitors. Our

team competed well and finished in second place.

● Good Luck to Cooper and Abbey Jorde as the will be competing at the regional

speech competition on April 11th in Minot.

Staff/School News:

● Our ND A+ Assessments will start on April 22nd for students in grades 7, 8, and

10. Tests are administered in the subject areas of math, reading, writing, and

science. Mr. Lee, Mrs. McBeth, Mr. McClintock, and Ms. Kennedy will

administer these tests. Testing is scheduled to conclude on May 1st..

“Creating Opportunities for Individual Student Needs”

● This week I will be finishing a two-part presentation on intrinsic and extrinsic

motivation to the student body. The intent is for the students to understand what

motivates them to learn and set achievable goals for themselves to accomplish

each year. .

As always, I want to give a shout-out to all the TGU Towner students and staff.

This last quarter is packed with a lot and I greatly appreciate all of their hard work

in continuously making each other better.
